A great bridge is built spanning a deep valley to the south of the Royal Mile. Under its 19 enormous arches, in a catacomb of underground chambers, a community begins to thrive. Trades, first legal and then illicit, flourish - and in these hard times there is nothing that cannot be bought or sold for a purse of gold! …Such a parcel of rogues in a nation! The underground vaults were created in the late 18th century, abandoned by the 1830s - and only opened again to the public in 1994. The labyrinth of corridors and chambers you visit remain unchanged from two hundred years ago.

Extensive scientific research carried out in The Edinburgh Ghost Project 2001 found abnormally high levels of paranormal activity in our Underground Vaults. A catalogue of eye-witness accounts of strange inexplicable events and supernatural occurrences confirms the experts’ findings.

Edinburgh Vaults were visited in 2003 by Living TV's 'Most Haunted' team.

Ghost Walk With Psychic Medium

Led and protected by our Psychic Medium, you will be given a tour of the vaults and will be provided with information channelled by our medium about spirit presences. Our medium will also take you through some psychic protection methods before we begin the vigils and experiments.

Ghost Vigils & Experiments

The event will include various experiments that everyone will have the opportunity to participate in. These will include, EVP recording experiments, filmed ghost vigils, trigger objects, motion sensors and use of other paranormal investigation equipment to attempt to detect spirit activity in all areas of the vaults.

Review Of Findings & Experiences

All findings will be analysed throughout the night and there will be the chance to talk about your experiences during a short review at the end of the event.
