Culcreuch Castle was built in 1296 by Maurice Galbraith. The Clan Galbraith was among one of the most powerful clans in central Scotland. The castle stayed in the hands of the Galbraiths until the 17th century. It was then given away by the last chief, Robert Galbraith, to satisfy creditors when he fled to Ireland after being outlawed in 1630. The clan has been without a chief ever since. The present owners have carefully restored the interior of the castle, blending the past with modern comforts. Nowadays, as well as being a thriving tourist attraction, Culcreuch specialises in weddings and functions.
The castle has had more than its fair share of ghostly activity over recent years. Figures have been spotted and presences felt in most areas of the building with lots of strange activity centering around the vaulted dungeon restaurant and bar areas.

Ghost Supper

We begin the evening at 10pm with a hot buffet supper which takes place in the fabulous vaulted dungeon restaurant in Culcreuch Castle.

After supper, to set the mood for the evening ahead, you have the chance to share your own ghost experiences and listen to spooky tales from other guests and from our own experienced ghost investigators.

Following a short break, to recover from the chilling tales, we will then attempt to communicate with the ghosts of the castle using various spirit communication methods including glass divination and automatic writing. This will then be followed by an EVP recording session, where we will attempt to capture the voices of the castle's spirits using our sound recorders. The voice files will then be transferred to a PC for analysis.

The evening will come to a close at 2am approx.

Psychic Supper

We begin the evening at 10pm with a hot buffet supper which takes place in the fabulous vaulted dungeon restaurant in Culcreuch Castle.

After supper, to set the mood for the evening ahead, you have the chance to share your own ghost experiences and listen to spooky tales from other guests and from our own experienced ghost investigators. You will also have the chance to chat to our psychic medium about your own personal experiences.

Led by our psychic medium, we will then attempt to communicate with the ghosts of the castle using various spirit communication methods including glass divination, automatic writing and also using a spirit communication board.

The evening will come to a close at 2am approx.
